Call for proposals
for

HR FORUM
“NON-CASH MOTIVATION – MISSION POSSIBLE”
5 November 2010, Sofia, Sheraton Hotel

Dear colleagues,

Bulgarian Human Resources Management and Development Association-BHRMDA and KARIERI are organizing the traditional HR Forum. The topic of the Forum this year is “Non-Cash Motivation – Mission Possible” and its main objective is to present and discuss Bulgarian and foreign practices connected with non-traditional forms of motivation and building organisational trust.

In this regard, it is our pleasure to invite you to submit proposals for presentation in two of the panels of the Forum:
- Non-Traditional Forms of Employment as a Motivator
- Achievement Motivation (recognition instead of reward)

If you want to share you company practices on the above topics, please send a title and short summary (approx. 200 words) to bhrmda@bhrmda.bg.
The proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee in line with the following criteria:
• Reference to one of the mentioned sub-topics of the Forum
• Description of a real practice in the company/organization;
• Value of the practice (achieved results)
• Innovative ideas for presenting/demonstrating the practice.

A discussion panel with the participation of middle management is included in the program. In this regard we will be glad to receive ideas for middle managers in yours or in other companies with experience in the topic, who would participate in the discussion panel and share the difficulties they have met with employee motivation without finance resources.

The proposals will be examined by a committee formed by representatives of BHRMDA an KARIERI. The selected candidates will be contacted and invited to submit a presentation.

 BHRMDA XI International Conference

13-15 May 2010, Nessebar

 LEADERSHIP IN RECOVERING ECONOMY: HOW TO KEEP THE TEAM IN THE GAME
 
Keynote Speakers at the Conference were:
 
 
Dr. Jac Fitz-enz  is acknowledged as the father of human capital strategic analysis and measurement. Founder of the Saratoga Institute. He is one of the fifty persons who have "significantly changed what HR does and how it does it" in the past fifty years
 
 
and
 
Mick Yates - is the founder of LeaderValues. He is currently leading Global Business Development at dunnhumby. He is a globally experienced senior executive, having spent almost 30 years working in Europe, the USA and across Asia Pacific.
 
In the program of the event Bulgarian and foreign practices on Leadership and employee engagement in times of recovery were presented and discussed. In the frames of the three days conference there was a preconference seminar on the same theme with lecturer Mojca Domiter from the Cotrugly Business Academy. There was also a networkingsimulation and a special discussion panel with CEOs.

The annual General Assembly of BHRMDA took place on 26 February. 35 individual and 27 corporate members participated in the event.

We present you a short summary of the resolutions of the Assembly.

The following documents were approved:

Report of the Managing Board of BHRMDA for the activity during 2009;
Report of the Control Committee for the financial status of BHRMDA for 2009;
Strategic conception for long term development of the process for certification of HR specialists submitted by a working group and approved by the Managing Board;
Plan-program and budget of BHRMDA for 2010.

The members of the Managing Board and the Control Committee were released from their positions and obligations.

According to p. 4 of the agenda, it was decided that the Managing Board will comprise 7 members and they are: Miglena Ouzounova-Tzekova, HR Director, Mobiltel EAD; Svetla Stoeva, Director Marketing and Sales, Foundation EMPOWER United; Neli Hristova, Procurator, Economedia AD; Vania Novakova, State expert in Directorate “ State Administration”, Administration of the Council of Ministers; Petar Vassilev, HR Manager, EPIQ Electronic Assembly; Sonia Slavcheva, Managing Partner, Blanchard International Bulgaria; Vladislava Radneva, HR Director, Chelopech Mining and BMM EAD.

According to p. 5 of the agenda, as members of the Control Committee were elected: Vasil Ararski, Business and HR Consultant; Jenina Jileva, HR Director, Financial Supervision Commission; Hristo Tsvetkov, HR Manager, METRO Cash & Carry Bulgaria.

The approved documents as well as the General Assembly protocol will be published on the web site of BHRMDA.
